We consider that a sound governance and a strong internal control system are essential to minimise risks and increase the basis of trust with all our stakeholders.

Member of the Association granted with control responsibilities

Beside the oversight done by General Meeting and Managing Board, one of the founding partners (who is not member of the Managing Body) is responsible for the control function at the level of the Association.

 

Audit and Risk Committee

The internal control function which includes the internal audit, compliance and risk management is ensured by the Audit and Risk Committee which reports to both, the Managing Board and the member of the Association granted by virtue of the Statute with control responsibilities.

Monitoring Trustee

In order to ensure an independent perspective over the execution of the Association’s programs, the General Assembly appoints one or more monitoring trustee(s), which is / are usually selected from chartered accounting firms.

For 2020-2022 charity programs, the General Assembly of the Association appointed as Monitoring Trustee the accounting firm ACCOUNTING & AUDIT CONSULTING SRL (J23/845/2001; fiscal code 14274839).

 

External Auditor

The financial statements and the internal control system of the Association are subject to an independent audit every year.

The financial auditor of the Association is the audit firm MOORE STEPHENS KSC ASSURANCE SRL.
